Easter - How Sweet It Is

We had a blessed Easter weekend filled with lots of fun, starting with the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Encinitas with Grand Judy. We then had lunch together back at her house where Luke blew bubbles for brother Kyle.

Jessica, Mom and Johnny visited us on Easter Sunday. We had more egg hunts, a great game of wiffle ball, lunch and lots of play time, while watching the NCAA tournament of course.

"Being the Easter Bunny is exhausting."

Luke wore flip flops for the first time so running out of the gate at the start of the egg hunt he bit it, but he recovered nicely and found a gang load of eggs.

Soccer Saturday

Saturday was once again a soccer day. It was a bit brisk and windy but we came away with another win. (Okay, they really don't keep score, but us parents do.) Luke is #6 and loves playing goalie AND scoring goals. The first 15 minutes they warm up, then game time.

Sweet Potatoes are an Acquired Taste

This week's menu included sweet potatoes for the first time. Kyle initially made the standard yucky face, but after several bites he warmed up to them, so much so that he was licking his high chair clean for any drops that were left.

Kyle is 6 Months Old Today!

"Man, time flies when you are having fun. I am just wiped out from all of my activities. Hey mom, I'm really hungry, what does it take to get a boob around here?"

These days Kyle is rolling from tummy to back and all over the floor. He has his two bottom front teeth and now screams at the top of his lungs when he is angry. He loves being outside and watching his brother Luke's every move. Rice cereal is his favorite and he has just started eating sweet potatoes, next on the list will be carrots. He sleeps a good 6-7 hours at night now because he hardly naps at all during the day. He is a very happy go lucky guy and we love him to pieces!

Fantasy Baseball Draft 2008

Viva Las Vegas! Our annual family Fantasy Baseball Draft was held in Las Vegas this year and hosted by Uncle Billy March 6-9. The family took to the road and had a great trip, the boys were awesome the whole drive. Thursday night we had dinner with Billy and his family and enjoyed watching American Idol together, even placing bets on who was getting kicked off.

We ventured off to the Strip one day and night and got a kick out of watching Luke take in the sights. He was amazed and kept saying, "This is so COOL!" We checked out the MGM, watched the lions play around and grabbed a bite in the Rainforest Cafe, with moving animals, rain and stars above our head.

Jim, Nick, Ryan and Matt doing some last minute research.

Kyle just hanging out, he actually made Jenn's first pick, David Wright, by drooling on his name.

Cousin Ryan turned 30 over the weekend, welcome to the 30 Club Ryan!

A shot of the Boyz!

We stopped at Game World and Matt and Luke enjoyed the race cars. We had to make a stop next door at the M&M store, of course, where Jenn bought lime green, burgundy and gold M&M's.

We were entertained by the pirate show at Treasure Island and the Atlantis show at Ceasar's Palace. In the city that never sleeps we didn't get much either, staying out this night until 12:30am, then Kyle was up until 2:30am of course so Jenn needed lots of coffee the next day.

Game Night

At least once a week we like to incorporate a game night where the family enjoys being silly and turns off the tube. This particular night was Twister night. And as you can see even Kyle joined in the fun.... right foot Blue....left hand Red.....

Kyle's First Cereal Feeding - Yum!

Kyle thoroughly enjoyed his rice cereal. Once he gobbled it up, he looked at us like "is there more?" He even reached for the spoon and tried to feed himself. Luke got a kick out of feeding him too.
