Walk Like A Man... My Son......

Kyle's first steps take 2,104.........

"Walk like a man......Talk like a man......Walk like a man my son........No woman's worth.........Crawling on the earth..........Just walk like a man my son......."

"I'm gonna walk like a man.......Fast as I can.......Walk like a man from you.......I'll tell the world to forget about it girl........And walk like a man from you..... Wa-oooooo!"

A New Soccer Season

Luke started a new soccer season August 23 with the Red Bulldogs. This league is a little step above the last with organized practices twice a week and games on a real grass field on Saturdays. He is really becoming quite a soccer player, getting better at passing and stealing the ball. He plays until the beginning of November, it promises to be an exciting season.

11 Months and Counting

The days are flowing by so quickly, Kyle is 11 months old now, starting to cruise around the living room, almost walking, almost weaned and has a personality all of his own. He is definitely a mamma's boy and has to know where I am at all times. He loves the outdoors.

Has It Been 20 Years?

Evidently it has... August 3 was my 20 year high school reunion at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center. I had not gone to my 10 year so this was a big deal for me, for some reason I was extremely nervous to see these people that I had grown up with during my formative years. Luckily, Matt was a trooper and agreed to go with me and be my "wingman" so to speak. We stopped by the Bishop Montgomery campus which brought back some great memories and still looks the same. AND we actually had a great time at the reunion. It was just like good old times. Now whoever did the coordinating could have used a few tips on event planning from me, the dinner turned out to be a few plates of appetizers passed around, they ran out of beer by 9:30pm (we had the room until midnight) and the cops were summoned at about 11:00pm because people were bringing in their own booze, ahhh felt like the good old days. The highlight of the evening was the cheesy photo booth and I won't comment on the kind of photos that were coming out of there. Looking forward to the 25th!

Luke, Matt & the Flying Leathernecks..

Luke and Matt got to hang out for a "boys day" while mom worked a few weeks back and they decided to check out the Flying Leathernecks Museum at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. This place is loaded with vintage planes and history lessons and the bonus is that it is FREE. Now every time Luke sees an airplane in the sky he asks, "Is that a biplane? Is that a Hornet?"
