Luke Hanson Meets Luke Skywalker

In a gallaxy far far away...... The Hanson family hunkered down for their very first screening (with the kids of course) of Star Wars IV, A New Hope (the actual first one released in 1977). Since it was a bazillion degrees here on Sunday, we closed off the house, turned off all the lights, popped our favorite kettle corn and was delighted to watch a movie that captured our imagination over 30 years ago. It was even more amazing to see it through the eyes of Luke who was absolutely fascinated by it. We purchased the whole Trilogy, so we'll be watching the next episode this weekend, The Empire Strikes Back. We'll let you know what Luke thinks but so far, "it's totally wicked!!!" May the force be with you.....

Kyle and Tank

This past weekend we had a visit with our old friend Ted "Tank" Bleckman who we played softball with and who is also part of the Baseball Tour group. Although Ted looks a bit ominous (you should see his great tattoos), he is a teddy bear at heart. Kyle was quite interested in this big fellow and just watched him thinking "wow, I wonder if I'll grow up to be this big". We were able to snap a few photos of the two, which is rare for Ted cuz we all know how he LOVES to take photos, NOT! So these are priceless.....

"Thanks for the beer Tank,
I am practicing Ted-O-Nomics."

"You're beard looks great by the way."

"Hey, where did Tank go?"

I Baptize You in the Name of the Father....

Kyle Patrick was baptized on Sunday, April 6 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Encinitas. Margaret and David Meyer were chosen to be his Godparents. It was a beautiful day shared with family. We gathered afterwards at Grand Judy's house for eats, spirits and to watch the Padres get defeated by the Dodgers. The boys were on their best behavior and enjoyed hanging out. We are truly blessed.

"This is the fountain of life,

water made holy by the suffering of Christ,

washing all the world.

You who are washed in this water

have hope of heaven's kingdom."

"You better smile great grandma Evelyn!"
